The Couples Workout

This post applies for both pregnant couples or engaged couples looking to get in shape for their big days. Aside from the aesthetic benefits to exercising together, you may find a deeper bond between you and your mate by taking time to work on the health side of your lives.

Having your man by your side as you work out can be extremely motivating and give you a great sense of security. For the pregnant couple, try low impact exercises such as walking/jogging, yoga or swimming classes. For the bride and groom to be, play around with spinning classes, hiring a personal trainer, outdoor bike riding, strength training and various cardio activities. Challenge each other to a game of H.O.R.S.E. or old school air hockey to add that competitive edge and up the ante.

A healthy relationship comes in many forms so take care of your body and mind at the same time and figure out a great exercise routine that allows both of you to participate at your own level and share quality time.
