Pomander Decor
Pomanders are cute and practical for flower girls of varying ages. These can be decorated in so many ways and incorporate little trinkets that are special to her. If you really like the clean look of pomanders, consider using them as chair adornments for the ceremony as well.

DIY it and pick up the following from your local craft store:
- Styrofoam ball – Pick the size that suits your flower girl best. 4-5″ is common.
- Hot glue gun
- About 50 flowers. Make yours unique and use flowers of different colors and sizes or go monochromatic with one color that is not being used a lot throughout your event.
- Ribbon, pearls or beaded string for the handle
- Flat push pins
Get started:
- Soak the foam in water
- Trim your flower stems leaving about 1-inch
- Making a loop with your string, be sure it is long enough to comfortable wrap around your flower girls’ wrist. Use your push pins to secure the string on the ball.
- Think of a pattern you would like and place the larger flowers on the ball first.
- Dab a little hot glue on the stem of each flower and insert the stem into the styrofoam.
- Be sure to cover the push pins with flowers so the string looks seamless.
- Add a little sparkle to the pomanders by decorating the center of flowers with gems or pearls.
