wedding day jewelry

I planned my wedding down to the minute. I had everything laid out weeks in advance and did a mental run-through of the entire day. The one thing I failed to think of was my jewelry. I did not realize I forgot about bracelets until I looked at my wedding pictures and saw the tan line on my bare wrist from the watch I typically wore.

See? Tan line.

To help other brides prevent this same scenario, here is a collection of bracelets to pair well with your gown.

Macy’s | Betsey Johnson Bangle Bracelet $35.00

Macy’s | Givenchy Glass Pearl (12mm) Bracelet $50.00

Forever 21 | True Bling Bracelet $9.80

Forever 21 | Fleur Bracelet $7.80

wedding music

Putting together the music list for our wedding was an enjoyably, tedious task. We knew the genre and general feel we wanted to listen to but drew a brain freeze when it came to songs for specific moments throughout the reception.

To assist with the planning, DiscJockeys.com has compiled an extensive list to help couples select music.

First Dance Music: First dance as husband and wife.
Father/Daughter Music: The dance between the new bride and her father.
Mother/Son Music: The dance between the husband and his mother.
Bridal Party Dances Music: The dance including the Bride & Groom, Bridesmaids & Groomsmen, and family members.
Cutting The Cake Music: Played while the Bride & Groom cut the cake.
Garter And Bouquet Toss Music: Played during the bouquet toss and garter toss.
Last Dance Music: The last song of the night for the Bride & Groom and their remaining guests.

inspiration :: plum and orange elegance

This board was inspired by the image of a Hawaiian sunset. mmm, Hawaii. Purple happens to be my favorite color, and the deep plum paired with that vibrant orange makes my heart beat a little faster. The star patterned lattern can be found online at the paper lantern store, the bridesmaid dresses are by one of our favorite designers–jim hjelm, and the gemstones are amethyst and carnelian. Enjoy and be inspired!

White and Black Anemones

anemones

Instantly my new favorite flowers. White Anemones have beautiful soft petals with a great contrast of the black center. I will definitely incorporate these in my 1940’s glam vowel renewal!
