Shipping typically costs between $6-8/box (each box typically can hold between 10-16 luminaries). Stumbled on this and wanted to share. These beauties fall in line with the candle centerpieces we posted previously and have such a zen-like quality to them. I am in love with these and I am looking for a reason to incorporate them in any future event:

Wedding Awareness

The hubby and I recently went to a wedding where the bride and groom chose to donate the money they would have spent on favors to the American Heart Association. This was an especially touching gesture since the groom lost his father to heart disease.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, here are a few suggestions should you be interested in incorporating this cause at your special event.

DIY Candle Centerpieces

Posted on September 24th, 2008 by LG  |  No Comments »

Weddings are expensive enough without factoring in the outrageous price for flowers. If you want to cut costs but maintain the elegance, consider using candles instead of flowers for decorations. Candle centerpieces are a great alternative and easy to put together. We will outline all you need for one of our favorite looks and show you pictures of others that may be of interest:

Check out Ikea for vases in various sizes.
Arrange them in a way that is aesthetically pleasing to you.
Consider using a mirror under the vases to add depth to the centerpieces.
Look for inexpensive candles that will fit inside of each vase. We suggest using scentless candles to make sure no one is overwhelmed by the smell.
Sprinkle rose petals, stones or crystals around the base of each vase.
Light the candles and that’s it!

Easy to do and beautiful on each table at your reception site.
