There is nothing like adding drapes to create a special ambiance to your wedding. It is elegant, soft and breathtaking. We have come across Quest Dream Weddings and have fallen in love with their extensive portfolio. Offering fabrics in velour, poly-teq and sheer, it is clear why they are a leading provider in the draping industry.
“As an innovator in the drape rental field, Quest has the imagination and knowledge to create a show solution that is specifically tailored to meet the desire and vision of your production.”
We talk about themes a lot on this site because it is the common thread throughout your wedding. Selecting a theme determines your décor and that is what brings in the “wow” factor for the event. Dressing up your venue with linen, lighting, chair adornments, etc. can be a bit pricey so if all of those items are not within your budget, we suggest putting the money toward the table linen. Using your wedding colors instead of plain white linen will attract your guests eyes to the tables and make the room feel full.
Table Linen Guide said it best, “Wedding table linens should complement the table arrangement, and blend well with the other table elements, such as the silverware, the napkins, and the floral arrangement or table centerpieces.”
The most common fabrics used for wedding table linens include:
Cotton Wedding Table Linen : Cotton is a cool, soft, comfortable and the principal table linen fiber.
Silk Wedding Table Linen : Silk fabric has a soft, lustrous and a supple hand. Silk table linens are common at royal and luxurious weddings.
Satin Wedding Table Linen : At times satin is also used for the purpose. It is a thick cloth with a glossy surface.
What is important to you? That is where you should begin before proceeding with the wedding planning process. If you know you HAVE to have rose petals, your favorite song and chandeliers involved in your event then start from there and build out. When you start with the most important elements and realize the other options are easy to do without then you can easily have a beautiful wedding with minimal decor and maximum class.
Whether you’re the type of bride that has a small budget or just a minimalistic outlook, you can achieve the wedding of your dreams without overloading on everything you thought you wanted.
1. Find a focus. This will carry throughout your big day. Whether it is colors, a special flower or a particular theme, write down what you visualize when you close your eyes and dream of this day.
2. The devil’s in the details. “Even the grandest project depends on the success of the smallest components.” This aspect relates to little things such as a signature drink, matching flowers used in the ceremony and reception, a candy bar decorated with treats matching your color scheme or a repeating pattern (stripes, polka dots, etc.) throughout your event. These little details will leave a lasting impression for you and your guests.
3. Use your inspiration board. Make sure to include the following: dress, bridesmaids, flowers, centerpieces, favors, cake, invitations, hairstyle and accessories. Finding one picture for each of those categories will help you see if what you envision is cohesive and show you how fabulous your wedding can be when those things come together.
4. Take your time and do your research. Collect all of the magazines and read all of the blogs from brides-to-be. Pick out the elements you love that you did not consider before and repeat step 3. Plug them into your inspiration board and figure out what you can’t live without and what you can let go.
5. Use a venue that has decoration you can incorporate, i.e. pillars, lanterns, etc. If the location you have chosen is naturally beautiful with everything that is already in place, all you need to do is add a minimal special touch to make it your own.
Remember this day is ultimately one for you and your honey. You may feel the need to pull out all the bells and whistles but you do not have to spend your life savings on a wedding for it to be memorable and completely beautiful.
